Choosing to work on overpopulation stems from the idea that the other topics such as food, water, home shortages can stem from there being too large of a population to adequately keep up with necessary resources. Working on the project was time consuming as looking over potential sources took as long as writing the individual pieces of the Fire Project. Further reflection on overpopulation also led to agreeing with the fact that population growth is decreasing which made me doubt my own opinion; however, looking further I still agree with my original assessment as while population growth is decreasing the population is already at a staggering 7 billion humans. When learning about how others viewed overpopulation I noticed that most seniors never really considered population to be a problem other than just referencing global problems such as homelessness and climate change without really considering that the amount of people in certain areas was a major factor to known global issues. When looking over sources I found myself in doubt about overpopulation continuing to be a problem as http://pop.org/content/debunking-myth-overpopulation showed enough evidence to make me reconsider before re-reading certain unnecessary additions to a strong argument such as the need to be religion into a scientific argument. Overall, looking back at what I did showed how I did lack discipline which was a major problem.
